The Halloween Express departs the Whippany station on:
Saturday, October 25
Sunday, October 26
All trains run rain or shine!
The full moon illuminates a midnight sky... Fallen leaves are caught by
a zephyr, and rustle down deserted streets... An unfamiliar chill is felt in the night air.
Banshees wail in the darkness and Jack 'O Lanterns cast their protective glow, warding off
hobgoblins. With the approach of Halloween, we invite you to enjoy a crisp, Autumn day and climb aboard the Halloween Express on Saturday and Sunday, October
25 and 26, when the Whippany Railway Museum becomes "Spooky Central!"
Geared for Family Fun, the HALLOWEEN EXPRESS is for people of all ages. Museum volunteers transform themselves into
Creepy Creatures that haunt the train and railyard, providing humorous surprises for everyone.
Bring the kids in costume and ride the Halloween Express on a 10-mile, 45-minute
round trip over the Historic Morristown & Erie Railway. Halloween treats for the children
will be given out at the station area by our resident ghouls and goblins.
ALL passengers are ENCOURAGED TO COME IN COSTUME, but due to safety concerns, VISITORS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO WEAR FACE MASKS OF ANY KIND!
The HALLOWEEN EXPRESS departs from the Whippany Station at 1, 2, 3 and 4 PM, rain or shine, both days for a 10-mile, 45-minute round trip over the Century-old route of the Historic Morristown & Erie Railway.
