With its quaint, historical charm and modern amenities, Whippany is a beautiful place to call home. The township is home to three public elementary schools teaching grades K-5 and one middle school serving students in grades 6-8, Memorial Junior High School. High school students attend the highly acclaimed Whippany Park Regional High School in nearby Morristown. Private school options are available as well. The town is served by the prestigious Whippany-Plainsborough-Morris County Library and is part of the Patriot’s Path, a 26-mile wilderness walkway and bike trail.

The Morris County Agriculture and Farm Museum is another great resource in the area, with displays spanning over 100 years of the region’s farming history. The Whippany River is also a popular destination for kayaking and canoeing.
The town has a strong sense of community with an abundance of local restaurants that are renowned for their delicious food and cozy, family-friendly atmospheres. Classic diners like the Whippany Diner offer old-school American cuisine, while the elegant Il Capriccio serves exquisite Italian dishes.
