The Whippany museum is a 501(c) 3 non-profit Operating Heritage Railroad comprised of New Jersey-related rail and transportation artifacts, staffed entirely by Volunteers. Its unique Excursion Train Rides are a fundraising effort, and proceeds from these rides support the Museum’s mission and Historic Preservation efforts.
During the museum’s Touch-A-Truck 2 & Train Ride event, visitors can climb into fire trucks, transport vehicles, construction trucks and even public health and safety vehicles. They can honk the horns, flash the lights and creatively explore the different types of vehicles. It is a fun and educational experience that the whole family can enjoy.
