Whippany is a small town in Morris County, New Jersey. It is bounded by Parsippany-Troy Hills and Mendham Townships. The population is approximately 14,000 residents. It has a total area of 10.8 square miles.

The cemetery contains a number of gravestones, including those of George Washington, who was the first president of the United States. A sign commemorates Washington’s headquarters in Whippany in June of 1780.
